Welcome to my website!
I am a Brazilian biologist and PhD candidate in Ecology & Evolution at the University of Rio de Janeiro State (BR) with doctoral schollarship at the Lancaster and Oxford Universities (UK). As ecologist, my inspiration is to understand species and ecosystems' form and function while providing guidelines for their conservation and benefits for society in face of the global climate changes. My work relies on the slow science philosophy and aims to advance ecological theories – their predictions and applications – on the organisms I am fascinated with: plants. I am particularly interested in tropical forests, their plant strategies, and how they regulate the carbon and water cycles.
